Going by the Ayurveda for a student it is very important to have a balance of three factors for a stress free performance. These are 'bhi' (acquisition), 'ghriti' (retention) and 'smriti' (memory).
To acquire a balance between them the students should have a good diet and on proper time. "Because a bad diet habit affects a person's resistance to stress," said Ayurveda specialist Dr SK Rai .
In the second stage it is important to have a quality sleep, which students often miss during exam time. "Then comes discipline. Students who want to improve their memory level should get up before 6am. During this period the oxygen level is high and studying in this period helps them in better acquisition, retention and memory.
The students getting up between 6am and 10am may suffer from mood irritability, depression, stress and anxiety," Dr Rai adds.
He also feels that students should have regular bath and take special care in maintaining personal hygiene to avoid contacting any disease during this period.
