Scuff marks: Try to remove the scuff marks with rubber eraser or make a paste of 2 tbsp baking powder and a little water. Rub the mixture into the scuff marks with a clean, dry cloth. Alternatively, rub toothpaste (non-gel) into the marks with a clean, dry cloth.

Rust free: Incase of vinyl flooring, spread some baking powder over the rust stains and let it settle for a while. Now rub the stain with cloth dipped in vinegar. Repeat until the stain fades.

For concrete floors: Small spills or spots can sometimes be removed with strong detergent, a scrub brush, and a sponge. To remove oil stains, use a commercial concrete degreaser.

Marble floors: To remove stains from marble, make a paste of baking soda and bleach and cover the stain with the paste. Cover the paste with a damp cloth, leave overnight, then wet down and scrape off the residue. Rinse thoroughly

Remove the gums: Use an ice cube to chill the gum from the floor. Simply rub it over the material to make it brittle and then using a plastic spatula, scrape and lift the gum.
