Accusing Ashok Khemka, managing director of the Haryana Seeds Development Corporation Ltd (HSDCL), of causing huge losses to the corporation and harassing its employees, members of the Haryana Beej Vikas Nigam Karmchari Sangh on Tuesday demanded his immediate transfer.

Sangh president Om Prakash Sheokand and general secretary Desraj Bhatia alleged in a release that instead of concentrating on ways to benefit HSDCL, Khemka only concentrated on finding out weaknesses of the Haryana government or its senior bureaucrats.

“It is because of such neglect that 87,000 quintal wheat seeds worth Rs 22 crore could not be sold and the HSDCL also suffered loss of Rs 3 crore on the account of interest,” the release said.

Stating that though Khemka would convene a meeting with the sangh delegates on March 29, the sangh members would hold a demonstration if their demands would not be met with by April 3.
Urging chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to transfer Khemka immediately, the sangh leaders said all employees would also resign en masse and submit their resignation letters to the chief minister if their demands were not met by then.

However, when contacted for comment, Khemka refused to speak on the issue.
