A number of infrastructural and civic issues that cripple city's growth will now be addressed with the help of the city-based top-notch think-tanks.
The Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) is in talks with various institutes in Gurgaon to bring them on board the planning table and seek suggestions on problems related to civic and other issues.
Huda administrator Praveen Kumar will meet today the students and faculty members of Management Development Institute (MDI), a top business school, as part of the Gurgaon Renewal Mission.
"We have the best talents at hand. We shall make use of it," Kumar said.
An MDI spokesperson said, "Students of Financial Management and Infrastructural Development will take up civic issue and come back with practical ideas to solve the problems."
According to Kumar, organisations like Haryana Institute of Public Administration, Institute of Rural Research and Development (IRRAD), and The Energy and Resource Institute (TERI) will take part in the mission.
CEO of IRRAD, Jane Schukoske welcomed the idea and said such knowledge consortiums always needed for the city's multi-dimensional growth.
"Water harvesting, education, drinking water, power situation are some of the issues that we shall think of tackling together," said Schukoske.
