Bharati was addressing a mammoth public meeting at the Super Market in support of her ‘Ram Roti Yatra’. She was on route to Ayodhya on ‘Ram Roti Yatra’ along with about 2000 companions. She said this yatra had been taken out to build social awareness on political issues.

“I challenge the present BJP president, Rajnath Singh, to save the real principles of BJP,” she said and added, “A party runs on ideology and it’s no more a gang”.
She further said was speaking in the parliamentary constituency of Sonia Gandhi. “I was very much vocal in opposing Sonia Gandhi to become the prime minister of India. My opposition on this count still stands. I do not want leaders on loan in India. I was in Italy in June 2005 where I was told that I cannot have Italian citizenship nor can I contest election there,” said Uma Bharti.

Uma said India should become a military and economic super power. Raising the issue of infiltrators from Bangladesh, she said today the number of Bangladeshi infiltrators had crossed the mark of one crore. There are big localities of Bangladeshis in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengal. Assam too is suffering from this infiltration problem. Bangladeshis should be given employment in their own country. The infiltrators should be pushed back to Bangladesh, she added.

On Uttar Pradesh, Uma said the State had more than a decade alliance with crime and corruption. This alliance must be broken now, she added.

The public meeting was also addressed by the convenor of this yatra, former Union minister Prahlad Singh Patel and the national president of Sawarn Samaj Lakshman Tiwari. Earlier, ‘Ram Roti Yatra’ was given a warm welcome on its arrival in the city.
