Harry Potter author JK Rowling has slammed the 'obsession' of being thin, for it is making the female sex into "empty-headed, ‘emaciated clones".
Rowling, who is currently working on the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series, said that she would rather her two daughters, Mackenzie and Jessica, be ‘opinionated and original’ rather than ‘self-obsessed, emaciated clones’.
“I’ve got two daughters who will have to make their way in this skinny-obsessed world, and it worries me, because I don’t want them to be empty-headed, self-obsessed, emaciated clones;
I’d rather they were independent, interesting, idealistic, kind, opinionated, original, funny a thousand things, before ‘thin’,” The Telegraph quoted her, as stating on her website.
Rowling also praised singer Pink’s new song Stupid Girls, for she believes that it is ‘the antidote-anthem’ for everything she thinks about women and thinness.
