Missing the “guidance” and “company” of an ailing AB Vajpayee, LK Advani on Sunday revealed his worst nightmare — the BJP may fail to put its act together to win the next Lok Sabha polls even though “a failed, corrupt and discredited government has provided plenty of reasons to be voted out”.

Winding up the conclave, Advani said: “I miss the presence of Atalji. I miss his guidance and companionship. Today, I sometimes feel lonely in the discharge of the responsibility you have entrusted to me. I need your support.”
“The BJP must not be found wanting. We must provide the change people are waiting for. The party must immediately get into ‘must win mode’ with unity in thought, strategy and action.”
A day ago, Vajpayee had sent word through BJP chief Rajnath Singh that he wanted everyone to work hard to make Advani the next PM.
