The 37-year old, singer-actress insisted that her large family upbringing has made her eager to have children, and that she is blessed to be a part of Anthony’s family that includes his children.

“I come from a strong family, so of course I want to have one, but I do have my own family: my immediate family, my husband and his children. I get to share in all of that. I am very lucky to have that," People magazine quoted her, as saying.

Jenifer Lopez has also admitted that she has tried to gain equanimity for the past two years since her marriage to the singer in 2005, and has been increasingly drawn to her Hispanic ancestry.

"I have actually grown as an artist and as a person. I realized that everything I was doing leaned towards my roots: [The movies] El cantante, Bordertown, Como Ama Una Mujer and a perfume called Deseo [Desire]," she said.

The People magazine named her one of today's 100 most influential Hispanics, and has also featured on the cover of the magazine’s February issue.

Other Hispanic performers named by the magazine, include Antonio Banderas, Eva Longoria, Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan.
