DPCs for IAS officers’ promotions have been held in first week of January during the BJP rule. But this time round no dates have been announced so far.

Confirming IAS officers’ queries, sources in the General Administration Department said the recent hike in the cadre strength of IAS officers has also caused delay in fixing DPC meetings.

For DPC of 1973 batch, only Pradeep Bhargava is due for promotion to the Chief Secretary grade. Half a dozen IAS officers of 1982 batch are likely to be promoted to Principal Secretary and another half a dozen of 1991 batch to Secretary rank.

A separate DPC to accord selection grade to 1994 batch IAS officers is also due. Six officers of 1982 batch including Pravesh Sharma, Rakesh Agrawal, J S Mathur, S R Mohanty, Raghav Chandra and Devraj Birdi are likely to be promoted as Principal Secretaries.

Officers of 1994 batch who are likely to be given selection grade include Sanjay Shukla, Vivek Agrawal, Rashmi Arun Shami, Hari Ranjan Rao, Manish Rastogi, Dipali Rastogi, S S Shukla, Chandrahas Dubey, S K Paul, Arun Kochar, J N Malpani, D K Tiwari and Suraj Damor.
