IIT-K, GSVM sign MoU for research

THE INDIAN Institute of Technology and the Ganesh Shanker Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College entered into an agreement to bring medical knowledge and technology together for carrying out joint research in the wider interest of society. A memorandum of understanding in this regard was signed here on Wednesday for collaboration between the two institutes on multiple fronts. The heads of the two institutions have agreed to assist each other at graduate and the postgraduate level and hold seminars, conferences and short-term courses.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed here on Wednesday for collaboration between the two institutes on multiple fronts.

The heads of the two institutions have agreed to assist each other at graduate and the postgraduate level and hold seminars, conferences and short-term courses.

Besides, they will share the information about the faculty, library materials, laboratories, research publications and to exchange information relating to developments in teaching and researches.

The two institutions have agreed to promote generation of research funds through multi-dimension collaborative research grant application.

IIT-K Director Dr Sanjay G Dhande, dean research and development Dr SC Srivastava, Dr Pradip Sinha, Dr Mukesh Sharma, Dr Harish Karnik, Dr Rajat Moona, Asima Pradhan, S Ganesh, Ashok Kumar and a visiting Fulbright scholar from University of Texas medical branch, United States, Sanjiv Sur, were also present on the occasion.
