Reputation of two veteran politician fathers is at stake at the twin constituencies of Ghatsila and Baharagora.
Dr Cinderella Balmuchu (26), daughter of Rajya Sabha MP and three-time Ghatsila MLA Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, is in the election fray from Ghatsila constituency on behalf of the Congress Party. And Kunal Sarangi (32), son of former health minister and two- time Baharagora MLA Dr Dinesh Sarangi, is fighting the elections from the Baharagora constituency as JMM candidate.
Both the fathers are working hard to make sure that their wards win their respective seats and thus keep their reputation intact.
Balmuchu, former president of Jharkhand State Congress Committee won the assembly elections during 1995, 2000 and 2005. Pradeep said he himself is travelling from village to village asking for votes for his daughter.
On the other hand, former health minister of Jharkhand, Dr Dinesh Sarangi, won the Baharagora seat in 2000 and 2005 under the BJP banner. Sarangi left BJP and joined hands with JVM leader Babulal Marandi. Recently, Dr Sarangi retired from electoral politics and put forward his son as JMM candidate.
