India didn't take timely action in Nepal: Rajnath

BJP President Rajnath Singh has accused the Centre of failing to take timely steps in Nepal during agitations for restoration of democracy.

He also expressed concern over growing Chinese influence in Nepal through Maoists and warned the Centre to remain vigilant about growing Maoist activities.

Talking to reporters on Sunday evening, Singh was critical of the 'growing influence' of the Left parties on the country's foreign policy.

On infiltration from Bangladesh, he wanted a law to be enacted to identify and deport illegal immigrants from that country.

Singh was also critical of the Congress government in Uttaranchal, which, he alleged, failed to develop infrastructure facilities for tourist and religious tourist places.
