India has voted in favour of of referring the Iran nuke issue to the UN Security Council at the IAEA meeting in Vienna.
Earlier, the UN nuclear agency resumed its meeting in Vienna on Saturday over Iran's suspect nuclear programme.
The board of governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency had been suspended on Friday following disagreement over the wording of a resolution that would refer Iran to the UN Security Council.
Deal reached on disputed section of resolution
The world powers have reached an agreement on a disputed section of a resolution that would send Iran to the UN Security Council over its suspect nuclear programme, a Western diplomat said on Saturday.
The United States and other Western nations accepted the mention in the text of a Middle East zone free of weapons of mass destruction, as demanded by Egypt, the diplomat said.
The deal could clear the way to adoption of the resolution at a meeting in Vienna of the UN watchdog International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-nation board of governors.
"There is new language in the resolution agreed upon by the European Union, the United States, China, Russia and other countries which recognises that a solution to the Iranian nuclear issue would contribute to global efforts to stop the spread of nuclear weapons and realize the objective of a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction, including their delivery systems," the Western diplomat said.
