Non-executive employees of the Airports Authority of India would go on a massive countrywide industrial action by staying off from duty from February 26 to meet their various demands.

The general secretary of the Airport Authority Employees' Union MK Ghosal said in a statement that the government was not meeting their long-pending demands following which non-executive staff (operational and non-operational including safety services) would remain off their duty from March 26 onwards.

The union also criticised the government for closing down the existing airports at Bangalore and Hyderabad.
