Indian clout must be felt

To say that India will not be able to play the world cup and other major tournaments is a little far-fetched if not pure fantasy. If India is not included in any tournament, ICC or IDI or any other acronym that has cricket added to it; it will go bankrupt and soon cease to exist. It is high time that India uses its financial clout everywhere that it matters and gets things done at its terms.

It is high time that India uses its financial clout everywhere that it matters and gets things done at our terms. The cricketing fraternity is one of the first cases that come to mind. It really serves us no purpose by being defeatist and apologetic about it. ICC has been dominated by England and Australia for far too long.

It is time that they get it back in the same coin. Also, look at the Pakistan-Hair controversy, when Inzamam was cleared on the first charge that was bought against him, why was he not cleared of the subsequent charges which was due to the ball tampering charge? There is an obvious compromise here.

And in this the umpire escapes without even a slight reprimand. Therefore, I reiterate that India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka use their financial clout in the ICC to have matters decided for our advantage, whatever that costs us.
