The Indian women's 'compound' team has clinched the silver medal, while Jayant Talukdar entered the men's semi-finals at the ongoing first archery World Cup in Porec, Croatia.

According to a statement from Sanjeeva Singh, secretary of the Jharkhand Archery Association and a former India archer, the Indian women's team, comprising Jhanu Hansda, Sakro Besra Manjudha Soy, lost to France 212/240-214/240 points in the final.
The Indians had earlier defeated the US 220/240-218/240 points in the semi-final and had beaten Italy 217-215 points in the quarterfinals.
In the men's section, Talukdar will be fighting against Marco Galiazzo of Italy in the first semi-final on Saturday.
Earlier, the Indian men's and women's 'recurve' team have lost out in the 1/8th elimination to Brazil and Great Britain respectively.
About 350 archers from 27 countries are participating in the World Cup that started on Tuesday. The meet concludes on Saturday.
