The jubilant Indian cricketers celebrated their historic Test series triumph over arch-rivals Pakistan till late into the night at a dinner party as well as the discotheque.

After the team returned to its hotel here following the victory in the series-decider in neighbouring Rawalpindi, the players assembled for a get-together.
The Indians congratulated each other and cheered loudly even as champagne flowed freely.
The Test series win was historic in more ways than one - it was achieved for the first time on Pakistan soil in 50 years, it was also the team's biggest ever win abroad and it made skipper Sourav Ganguly the most successful Indian skipper ever. The last away Test series win came for India in Sri Lanka in 1993.
After the get-together, which was also attended by the support staff, manager Ratnakar Shetty and Media Manager Amrit Mathur, the entire group proceeded for a dinner party thrown in by team manager Ratnakar Shetty at a posh restaurant in the city.
The celebration dinner went on till late into the night. But the Indians were raring for some more fun after nearly 40 days of toil and some of the younger members of the squad went to the disco at the hotel.
Many Pakistani cricket fans gathered at the lobby of Hotel Marriot, where the India team is put up, to have a glimpse of the Indian heroes and take their autographs.
