Indians open medal campaign in Doha

The Indian team missed the gold by 10 points in the men's 10 metre air rifle event.

India opened its medal campaign in the 15th Asian Games with a bronze in the men's 10 metre air rifle team event on Saturday. The gold went to China and the silver was bagged by South Korea.

The Indian team of Gagan Narang, junior world champion Navanath Farathate and Thermad Raghunath shot a total of 1,776 and missed the gold by 10 points.

The Chinese team of Liu Tianyou, Zhu Qinan and Li Jie shot 1,786 points. The South Korean team (Yu Jae Chul, Kim Hye Sung and Chae Kean Baey) shot 1,777.
