England captain Michael Vaughan is confident he will be fit for the second Test against New Zealand after being forced to sit out the first through injury.
Vaughan twisted his right knee in the nets on Monday and his place as skipper for the Lord's Test, which started on Thursday, was taken by his opening batting partner Marcus Trescothick, who is captaining the test side for the first time.

"I won't need an another operation which is good news and a week of rehabilitation should put me right for the second test," Vaughan told Channel 4 television on Thursday.
Vaughan has a history of cartilage problems with his right knee.
The second Test in the three-match series starts on June 3 in Leeds.
