"It looks like a well networked gang of drug couriers operating in Delhi for quite sometime. We have seized 17.8 kg of pure heroin, and one kilo of the drug is worth Rs.10 million (nearly $225,000) in the international market," said Karnail Singh, joint commissioner of police (special cell).

The six people - Tejinder, Vinay, Kalpesh (all Indians), Kinsley, Jack (Nigerians) and Afzal, a Pakistani national - were arrested from several destinations in the capital on Monday.

While Kinsley and Vinay were arrested from Uttam Nagar, Kalpesh and Jack were caught from Tilak Nagar, Tejinder from PVR Vikas Puri and Afzal was arrested from Connaught Place.

Police said they would raid several other places and hope to arrest more drug dealers soon.
