The six-month investigation into the molestation of a foreign national inside the guesthouse at ISKON in Juhu has turned inconclusive. As a result of this the Juhu police will not file a report in the court stating that the complaint is true, but the investigation has failed to nail the accused.

When contacted, senior police inspector Deepak Kathkade of Juhu police station said: "We are yet to identify the accused." He refused to comment further on the matter.

In the first week of February, a 24-year-old American national had lodged a complaint at Juhu police station alleging that she was molested by some unknown accused, while she had put up at the guesthouse in the vicinity of ISCON temple.

The woman claimed that she did not see the man enter her room but when she realised she was being molested she woke up and tried to retaliate. It is then that she saw a man fleeing.

The police added that the victim had come to Mumbai to visit her friends in the film industry and since she was interested in classical music she was staying with ISCON.

“Most part of the CCTV image had got deleted and the rest was of poor a quality,” said a senior officer on condition of anonymity.
