A case has been registered against the dealer Rajnarayan Chauhan under the LPG (Supply & Distribution) Order 2000 and legal action has been initiated under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act (1955).

After having received a host of complaints against Bharat Gas dealership - Naveen Gas Agency, Shajapur SDM Deepak Saxena and District Supply Officer N L Reshamiya conducted a surprise inspection on the premises of the agency and store on December 10, and after scrutinising the stock register, it was found that instead of showing stock of 313 gas cylinders, only 13 cylinders (14 kg) were mentioned.

According to an official press release issued by the Shajapur administration, there was no record of 300 cylinders. The Bharat Petroleum Corporation’s domestic gas agency in its register showed a record of 74 cylinders of 19 kg capacity, whereas, after physical verification only 51 cylinders were found. The release further added there was no record of 190 cylinders of five kg each.
