The CBI has summoned Ahmedabad chief public prosecutor Sudhir Brahmbhatt in connection with the alleged fake encounter killing of Mumbra girl Ishrat Jahan and three others in June 2004.
Brahmbhatt is a lawyer who is said to be close to police officials such as DG Vanjara and GL Singhal, the main accused in the case. “Besides the policemen, Brahmbhatt had also played some role in the killing of the four persons, so he has been summoned for interrogation,” a CBI official involved in the probe said. htc
