The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) on Monday said that the launch of the IRNSS-IC would not happen as planned on October 10 because of a minor technical snag in the tele-command.

“Due to an observation in the telemetry system, the launch has been postponed for a week,” the Facebook page of Isro said.
The 67-hour countdown for the launch of IRNSS-IC from Sriharikota near Chennai was to commence from 6.56 am on Tuesday.
“A technical snag has been observed in the tele-command system. We will review the exact condition on Tuesday and then decide a new date for the launch,” an Isro official said.
Designed to build a regional navigational system equivalent to GPS of developed countries, India aims to send seven satellites to put in place the Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS).
