In a letter, HSSPM president SR Harnot said temple management has displayed notice boards, on which it was clearly mentioned that the entry of scheduled castes (SC) in the temple was prohibited.

Earlier, the issue was raised in 2011 but despite high courts directions, no action has been taken by the district administration till date. “High court has issued notices to social justice department and deputy commissioner Bilaspur,” said Harnot, adding that boards were still there after two years of court notices.

Harnot, who has authored many books, said district administration had shown incapacity to remove boards and said that temple belonged to a 'saint'. He said if it was a private property then it was a matter of inquiry to know how the 'owner' got the land and how such a big temple was constructed.
