The Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA) said the developments of the last two weeks have had minor impact on the services rendered by IT and ITES industries in the state.

It said there have been isolated incidents of IT/ITES companies being targeted in both Hyderabad and the coastal city of Visakhapatnam, disrupting operations.

"Such incidents dent the confidence of our employees, customers and investors and have the potential to severely impact the brand of the state as a destination for IT and impact our growth prospects," HYSEA president Narsimha Rao said in a statement.

He said the continued uncertainties to business operations and public life would further weaken the brand.

"Today, with so many global destinations for companies in the IT/ITES industry for new businesses, the city and state can ill afford any dent to its image of a peaceful and business friendly place."
