She recently joined the league of the highest paid actresses. And now Katrina Kaif, has been voted as the sexiest woman alive by a prominent men's magazine. The poll result arrived when the actress was busy practicing for her act in Bangkok. In no time her phone was busy with calls and SMSes. Not just that, even the Internet was flooded with the news reports.

Ask the lady how it feels to be tagged the sexiest woman alive… and she takes a pause, before admitting that "any poll, which is done by audience or public, is always flattering... and if it's a magazine which goes overseas it's certainly significant."

She adds, "Yeah… tomorrow, when I would be a grandma, in my 60s, it would be great to look back and read... aah... I was the sexiest woman once."

Katrina made her debut in the industry with Kaizad Gustad's Boom. The film bombed and her career was declared doomed. But she made a comeback with a cameo in RGV's Sarkar followed by films like Partner, Namastey London and Race.

With her tall and curvy structure and an angel like face, she was tagged sexy from the very beginning. However, Katrina says that she had always tried to maintain the balance between sexy and attractive.

"There's a very thin line between being an attractive woman and overtly sexy. I had always kept my preferences intact. For me it's important to be attractive to the family audience. At the same time, it's crucial to have my young fans too."

And what does the term sexy mean to her? "It's an over all package. It includes a woman who is attractive and irresistible but at the same time she should be approachable and fun to be with."

Recently there were rumours about Katrina planning to go the arty way with a Bengali film. Ask her and she refutes.

"No... I don't plan things. I take each moment as it comes. I am not here to prove anything, but to enjoy. And I'll work in the kind of films I am going to enjoy ."

However, there's a Yash Raj film to be directed by Kabir Khan of Kabul Express fame, and Katrina accepts that it would be different from all that she has done so far.

Interestingly, a decade back her boyfriend Salman Khan was voted as the 17th sexiest man in the world. Ask her, if she knew about him then and pat comes the reply, "Of course."

And what does she thinks of Salman today? "No comments. It's personal."
