IT staffer ‘raped’, woman colleague among suspects

After she lodged a complaint the next day, police arrested six suspects, including a woman who was part of the group that raped her, said police inspector Jan Mohammed Pathan.
The survivor had gone out for dinner with a colleague when the latter mixed sedatives in her drinks. After consuming the alcohol, the woman lost consciousness. Her friend then took her to another friend’s flat in Dhanori, where they were joined by four others.
While the woman was yet to gain consciousness, she was sexually assaulted in turns by all the five men. Officials said the woman was admitted to Sassoon Hospital after she complained of uneasiness.
On Wednesday, a 19-year-old college student was raped by a stranger when she had gone to Hanuman Hill for an evening stroll.
