Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) chief Panakkakad Muhammadali Shihab Thangal died in Malapppuram on Saturday night.
A central figure in Kerala politics for the last three decades, Thangal (73) died at a private hospital in Malappuram, IUML sources said.

Thangal had been under treatment for diabetes.
