J&K: Army jawan commits suicide

An army jawan committs suicide by shooting himself with his rifle in Rajouri district of J&K.

An army jawan on Tuesday committed suicide by shooting himself with his rifle in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

Sepoy RK Singh of 20 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) shot himself dead with his rifle in the early hours on Tuesday, they said.

Singh had returned from leave on April 13 and was posted on guard duty in Kandi belt of Rajouri district, the sources said.

A court of inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
