Taking strong exception to China's claim over Arunachal Pradesh and its objection to construct a road in Ladakh, a senior Jammu and Kashmir BJP leader has asked the Centre to deal firmly with that country.

"Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh are integral parts of India and China should respect the sovereignty of this country", State BJP chief Ashok Khajuria told reporters after conference with Himalayan committee for Action on Tibet here.
He asked the UPA government to deal with China with a firm hand and convey to it in strong words that Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh belong to India.
Khajuria also criticised the UPA government's foreign policy towards China, which he said has encouraged it to interfere in the internal matters of India.
