"Incidents like this (rape of a five-year-old girl in Delhi), which are happening time and again, was raised in the Assembly. The chief minister is serious about it. We are bringing in a strong legislation in this regard," minister of state for home, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

The newly formulated legislation will be placed in the public domain for inviting suggestions on how to improve it and then it will be finalised, he said.

"We will also take suggestions from the civil society, so that they are incorporated and a good legislation is brought in this regard," he added.
