J&K police nabs three in face currency racket

Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three persons allegedly involved in a fake currency racket in Kupwara district, a police spokesman said.

Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday arrested three persons allegedly involved in a fake currency racket in Kupwara district, a police spokesman said.

Acting on a specific information, police laid a seige and apprehended Mohammad Shafi Dar, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Nazir Ahmad Bhat near Handwara branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank with fake currency having a face value of Rs 16,000.

A case has been registered a case against the trio.
