J&K seeks to replicate Surajkund fair

In view of the growing popularity of the annual Surajkund Crafts Fair, the Jammu and Kashmir government has sought help of the Haryana tourism department in organising a similar fair in the Valley.

In view of the growing popularity of the annual Surajkund Crafts Fair, the Jammu and Kashmir government has sought help of the Haryana tourism department in organising a similar fair in the Valley.

Some senior officers of Haryana tourism, especially those involved in the organisation of the Surajkund fair, flew to Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, in the wee hours of Saturday.

A meeting chaired by Surjeet Singh Salathia, minister for industries and commerce, was attended by senior officers of the Jammu and Kashmir departments of industries and commerce, tourism, handlooms, handicrafts.
