Jaipur Literature Festival organizers on Monday asked Aam Aadmi Party members not to identify themselves as belonging to a political party because the visitors to the festival are distinguished according to any criterion.
This request came from Sanjoy Roy, one of the organizers of the Lit Fest, after an AAP’s Jaipur wing leader Aakaash Singh Jaadon asked BJP leader and former Union finance minister Yashwant Sinha when will the BJP make the source of its funding available online.
Jaadon, conspicuous wearing an AAP cap that said "I am a common man, I want complete swaraj" also asked Sinha whether the measures taken by Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje, such as removing red beacon from official vehicles, would have been possible if it were not for the AAP’s revolutionary methods.
Sinha replied that no party had a copyright over setting examples of moral behavior and many steps the AAP claims to have taken had been followed by politicians earlier also.
Later, speaking to HT, Jaadon said, "I have a right to ask questions as a common man. Is not calling Yashwant Singh to this festival political? Is not calling Salman Khurshid political? Any person who asks a question here has a certain political leaning."

{{/usCountry}}Another AAP member, wearing a cap similar to Jaadon’s, said, "We have been here and we will be here tomorrow also. In fact, at least 500 visitors to the festival have signed up for AAP membership."
