Senior BJP leader and Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Minister, Babulal Gaur on Wednesday welcomed the decision to expel Jaswant Singh from the party as a 'right step'.

Gaur told PTI that Singh had in his book praised the founder of Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah as a secular leader and this was something that could never be accepted by all patriotic Indians.

"There was no way in which Jinnah can ever be called a secular leader as he alone was most responsible for the partition of the country," he said.
Describing Jinnah as a secular leader amounted to showing disrespect to all the freedom fighters who had laid down their lives for the country, he said.
The decision to expel Singh would help the party, Gaur added.
