The Rajasthan Jat Mahasabha on Friday sprung to the aid of the suspended Congress leader Natwar Singh, and warned the party of a 'social boycott' over the issue.
Addressing a press conference in Jaipur on Friday, Mahasabha president Rajaram Meel alleged that Singh was being framed by some Congress leaders, and warned that the party would have to pay a heavy price for the humiliation meted out to the former foreign minister.
The Jat community would enforce a social boycott of the Congress Party in the state, Meel threatened.
He said the Rajasthan Jat Mahasabha would organise a farmers' rally on August 23 in protest against the suspension of the Congress leader in Jaipur, and claimed about five lakh Jats would converge in Jaipur for a meeting to be addressed by Singh.
