Jayalalithaa flags-off Duronto Express to Madurai and T'puram

Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa today flagged off two non-stop air-conditioned Duronto Express trains -- one from Chennai Central to Madurai and another from Chennai Central to Thiruvananthapuram.

Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday flagged off two non-stop air-conditioned Duronto Express trains -- one from Chennai Central to Madurai and another from Chennai Central to Thiruvananthapuram.

The bi-weekly Chennai Central-Madurai train will run on Mondays and Wednesdays, while the Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuram trains will ply on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Several state ministers, Southern Railways general manager (in-charge) AK Mital and senior railway officials were present at the flagging-off at a function at Chennai Central railway station.
