Current Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam is expected to resign on May 22, AIADMK spokesperson C R Saraswathi was quoted as telling media on Wednesday.
Jayalalithaa is scheduled to offer floral tributes to statues of the party's founder MG Ramachandran, DMK founder C N Annadurai and D K founder EV Ramaswamy on May 22.
The AIADMK has reportedly called for a meeting of its legislators at the party headquarters here to elect Jayalalithaa as leader of the AIADMK legislature party on May 22.
