The Janata Dal (United) and the Apna Dal have joined hands to dislodge the Samajwadi Party (SP) from power after the election.
In view of this, they have decided to address three rallies in different parts of eastern UP on June 25.

Now, the JD (U) and the Apna Dal have joined hands to oust Mulaym Singh Yadav. Both the JD(U) headed by Sharad Yadav and the Apna Dal headed by Sonelal Patel have formed Parivartan Morcha.
Their aim is to provide an alternative to the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, JD(U) state president Suresh Niranjan said that this new front was formed to free the people UP from the BSP and the SP.
He said that the joint campaign of the JD(U) and the Apna Dal would be initiated from June 25 with three public meetings in UP. While one will be held at Rajgarh in Mirzapur district, two others will be convened at Madyahu in Jaunpur district and Beniabagh ground in Varanasi.
State president said that JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav, Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar and national president of Apna Dal, Sone Lal Patel would address all the three public meetings on June 25.
He said that the life of common man in the state was in a bad state because of the poor law and order situation.

Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Apna Dal leader Seoelal Patel said the alliance was forged to keep the SP and the BSP away from power.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was not the member of the alliance.
He said that JD (U) was in the alliance with BJP at national level but in UP the JD (U) was against the BJP.
In reply to a question over reservation in higher educational institutions, Patel said, “We are of the view that the government should introduce uniform education system for every citizen and after 15 years of inception of this system, the reservation can be done away with.”
