Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamini Lau will on Thursday take up the application for hearing.

Ramani filed for bail as Lau had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant (NBW) against her on Monday on an application by the police, who said she was required for interrogation but had refused to cooperate.

Lau had directed the police to arrest Ramani and produce her before the court on or before September 15.

According to the police, Ramani had used forged documents to claim she was the owner of 'Once Upon A Time' restaurant-cum-bar, also known as 'Tamarind Court', in Qutub Colonnade in south Delhi, and that she had a license to serve liquor there.

Lall was fatally shot at Tamarind Court on April 30, 1999, when she allegedly refused to serve liquor to Manu Sharma - the main accused in the murder - saying that the bar had closed for the day.

The special investigation team (SIT) of Delhi Police set up to investigate the destruction of evidence in the Lall murder was also investigating Ramani's role in the case.
