Domestic private airline Jet Airways on Thursday claimed that it clocked an over 41 per cent jump in domestic passenger traffic in May this year compared to the same period last year.
The airline carried 8.69 lakh passengers in May, 2010, a 41.2 per cent increase compared to the same period last year, a press release said here.

The official figures (from the DGCA) are, however, yet to be released.
At the same time, the airline's traffic on international routes registered a 36.5 per cent increase compared to the corresponding month of the year-ago period, the release said.
During the period, the airline registered a seat factor of 82.5 per cent on domestic routes, while on international routes, it clocked a 80.3 per cent seat factor against 75.4 per cent in May, 2009, the release said.
JetLite, which is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Jet Airways, carried 4.02 lakh passengers at a seat factor of 85.3 per cent during this period, it said.
