The village achieved the distinction following the creation of a 'safe and reliable power distribution system' by replacing all naked electricity conductors with insulated cables and shifting the meters to pillar boxes outside the villages or at spacious places.

It is the first village under the jurisdiction of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) to get 24-hour supply. The other five villages in Hisar and Bhiwani districts fall under the jurisdiction of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN).

Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda had launched the scheme recently to supply electricity to villages on urban mode to bring down the aggregate technical and commercial losses, a spokesperson for the UHBVN said.

The UHBVN has spent around Rs 40 lakh on building reliable power distribution system and shifting 816 meters to pillar boxes in Badsa village, the spokesperson said.
