Jharkhand governor Syed Ahmed fainted while addressing an Independence Day event in Dumka on Friday after he hoisted the national flag at a local ground in the morning.

Ahmed was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors said he fainted due to fluctuation of blood pressure. The civil surgeon attending to him said that Ahmed had skipped his regular doze of medicine on Thursday evening which caused the fluctuation of BP.

He is out of danger now and is being accompanied by a doctor to Ranchi.
