JK cabinet sanctions 5 per cent DA hike in favour of Govt employees

Jammu and Kashmir cabinet on Thursday sanctioned hike of Dearness Allowance at the rate of five per cent of basic pay to state government employees.

Jammu and Kashmir cabinet on Thursday sanctioned hike of Dearness Allowance (DA) at the rate of five per cent of basic pay to state government employees.

The DA instalment will be applicable to employees from July 2009, thus raising their DA from 22 per cent to 27 per cent, an official release said.

This decision was taken by the state cabinet which met here under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
