Welcoming the move to launch cross-LoC trade, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik today said the travel between the divided parts of Kashmir should be "permitless".
"It has been our stand for long that there should be no permit required for travel between divided parts of Kashmir. If the opening of the cross-LoC routes is a step in that direction, we will definitely welcome it," Malik told reporters here.
He said it was easier to get a passport than a permit to travel across the border on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus.
Malik said there should be no symbolism involved in trade across the LoC.
"There should be no restriction on movement of people and goods from part of a house to another ... That is what Jammu and Kashmir on either side of LoC is," he said.
Malik also condemned the grenade attack on the residence of Jamiat Ahli Hadees chief Maulana Showkat Ahmad Shah.
Terming it as a "cowardly" act, Malik he said his party would investigate the incident on its own and unmask the perpetrators of the attack.

{{/usCountry}}A militant outfit Hizbul Muslimeen has claimed responsibility for the attack on Shah's residence.
"It is a cowardly act ... If this group (Hizbul Muslimeen) exists, I ask them to come out in open. This group or whoever it is, should be rather called Hizbul Munafiqeen (the group of hypocrites)," Malik said.
