Pratik Sonwani was killed by assailants in New Rajendra Nagar area of the state capital late last night, Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar told PTI.

Sonwani was a post-graduate student of ophthalmology at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Raipur, he said.

Prima facie the murder appears to be a fallout of love triangle, but other angles are also being probed, Kumar said.
