“Youth, particularly women, have contributed in a major way in development. When a woman is educated, the whole family benefits from it, the need is to unite this energy,” Scindia said at the function that was also attended by State Bank of Indore General Manager Annie Panwar as special guest, B M Bhandarkar from Bank of India, Sandip Manudhane from PT Education and Union Bank of India’s G Y Mishra.

President of the Thalassaemia and Child Welfare Group, which has been working for last 10 years, Dr Rajani Bhandari said the purpose of bringing out ‘Khushbu’ was to sensitise masses towards critical diseases.

Scindia felicitated young singer Jayant Chouhan and others on the occasion. Money for the library of Devi Annapurna Vidyalaya (by Neelkamal Kansal), scholarship for Class 9 students (by Tushar) and tuition fees for two girl students for the whole year (by Kalpana Sawle and Archana Dixit) were also donated on the occasion.
