Karelabagh water supply to be increased

The minister said, a large area of the city would benefit and get sufficient drinking water.

This would by constructed by Jal Nigam in two years at a cost of Rs 7.5 crore. He specially emphasised the agency to ensure quality and period of contraction of 60 MLD capacity system.

Referring to the Ardha Kumbh mela 2007 he said the government had approved a fund of Rs 170 crore including Rs 6 crore for construction of Raen Basera.

Speaking on the occasion, Reoti Raman Singh said the much-awaited demand of enhancing the drinking water capacity was increased in the city.

Mohammed Ashraf, MLA from City West, was also present during the foundation laying ceremony. Later, the minister visited the Gudia Talab where he planted two saplings.
