Karnataka Medical Education Minister Ramachandra Gowda today said the government was contemplating opening trauma centres in Mysore and Gulbarga followed by other cities soon to help poor heart patients who need immediate medical aid and cannot afford speciality medical care.

Inaugurating a trauma centre at Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, he said at present the trauma centres are only in Bangalore.
"Government is seriously contemplating extending such trauma centres to other cities in the state to offer emergency medical care to poor heart patients", he said.
